Behavioral Health Program
The chemical dependency professional alternative training certificate of proficiency program is designed to meet the educational requirements for eligible students (WAC 246-811-076) to work as a Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee in Washington state. The program prepares students to work with individuals and families with substance use disorders in a variety of treatment settings, within an integrated healthcare team.
The alternative training certificate prepares students to take the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (NAADAC) national certification examination for addiction counselors.

Admission to the chemical dependency professional program is by selective entry application.
