O&M for PV Systems
This 40-hour comprehensive training prepares PV technicians to safely and confidently perform a full range of O&M activities, including system inspections, commissioning, performance verification, and troubleshooting. Participants will gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately assess system health and performance. This exam prep instruction validates proficiency and aids in the promotion of occupational upward mobility within the industry. It also encompasses the four Operations and Maintenance Associate Technician exam Job Task Analysis domains which will demonstrate an understanding of: Safety, Core Knowledge, Existing System Infrastructure Considerations and Operations & Maintenance. Instruction blends essential theory with practical, real‑world application, delivered using a standardized curriculum. The training applies to various PV system types and grid‑tied PV systems of all scales—residential, commercial, and utility‑scale. This training is comprehensive covering essential tasks consisting of functionality, electrical concepts, plan sets, mounting, energy storage, performance parameters, system monitoring and applications and system maintenance and QA/QC.Read the Associate Handbook for further credentialing information.
