Solar Photovoltaic Exam Prep
This 40 hour course will prepare individuals for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. This class will be an introduction to Photovoltaics. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe types of PV system applications
- Identify key features and benefits of specific types of PV systems
- List the key components of specific types of PV systems
- Determine necessary customer information to collect
- Identify the customer’s motivations to install solar
- Estimate system size to meet the customer’s financial objective
- Ensure equipment is appropriate for intended use
- Identify relevant codes and requirements that impact PV design and installation
- Recognize electrical concepts and terminology
- Identify the elements of a complete site-safety plan
- Identify the elements of the plan set
- Identify commonly used electrical test equipment and its purpose
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze simple electrical circuits
