Photovoltaic Systems and Installation

This introductory course will be an overview of PV systems, components, system design, installation practices, NEC requirements, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Students will have hands-on time to learn about and work on grid-tie and off-grid systems, with a focus on meeting code requirements, safety, and workmanship. Cost analysis for installing a PV system, load calculations and sizing of systems will be covered. Students will be prepared to take the NABCEP PV Associate Exam.
