Solar Photovoltaic Exam Prep
This 40 hour course will prepare individuals for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. This class will be an introduction to Photovoltaics and include learning about the following topics”:
•Solar Orientation, site surveys and preplanning
• System Components and Configuration
including Cells
• Modules, Arrays and Batteries
• Charge Controllers, Inverters and System
Sizing
• Mechanical and Electrical Integration and
Utility
• Interconnection, including the NEC
• Permitting and Inspecting
• Commissioning, Maintenance, and
Troubleshooting
• Economic Analysis Including Incentives and
Cost Analysis
• Identify the required hardware and major
manufacturers of PV systems
• Identify proper solar array sizing and BOS
components
• Discuss hazards on solar PV installations and
safe practices
