IL Laborers NABCEP Associate Training
Understand the utility grid; origins and mixture of power generation and how solar fits into Illinois’ portfolio and on a consumer basis. Presents competencies and expected outcomes for photovoltaic (PV) design and installation along with the applications and possibilities with present technology. Participants will learn the fundamentals of sizing a residential (battery-less) grid-tied system on residential and commercial, mounting, with newest concepts for inversion of DC to AC electricity for given examples. Review fundamental design basics for off-grid stand-alone systems including specifying batteries, controllers, and battery-based inverters while being exposed to the newest design techniques and technology in the industry
